I wonder none of them have been rated as ‘AAA’ by Moody’s or S&P and others…

I am an independent Aflac agent, as well, and I see the values of the company on a day to day basis.
When I joined the Aflac Team, the first words stated by my associate were God, Family & Aflac. I saw the real story of Aflac there.
Their values are in line with what is right for my clients and my life.
Kudos to no lay offs ever.

Having just been let go due to knee jerk reactions to the economy I truly believe in the adage “If you take care of your employees they will take care of you”. If a company is managed correctly you should not have to let anyone go due to economic circumstances. If the company is in tune with their market and not falling all over themselves patting each other on the back at functions that do nothing for the bottom line…well I could go on and on. Contributions to growth for companies that understand you do not need layers and layers of upper management to run a successful and productive company would be a welcome sight. Being able to respond to your customer or market needs without having a Matrix structure of management to me is key to a company’s success. Of course the size of a company plays into this also. By understanding the market you are in and not relying on acquisitions to maintain your existence and keeping shareholders happy by taking actions that result in the labor force being reduced would be a Key Paradigm shift in these current times.
